Municipality

Ettingen lies in the Leimen/Birsigtal valley at the foot of the Blauen with the neighbouring communities of Blauen, Pfeffingen, Aesch and Therwil. Ettingen is a political municipality belonging to the district of Arlesheim in the canton of Basel-Land. More than 5000 inhabitants live in this rural community. Ettingen offers kindergarten, primary and secondary school. Secondary schools, such as grammar schools, are located in Oberwil and Münchenstein.

The centre of Ettingen is located in the immediate vicinity at a distance of 450 metres. Here you will find wholesalers, various specialist shops, restaurants, the post office and banks, as well as medical care.

Public transport

Aesch is about 4.9km away from Ettingen and leads to the T18. From there the motorway connections of the Swiss motorway network and the motorways to Germany and France are available. The distance to Basel-Stadt is 11.2km and can be easily reached by public transport with the BLT tram lines 10 and 17. The bus line 68 takes you to Hofstetten and Aesch.
