Gundeldingen, also called Gundeli in Basel, is a quarter in the south of the Swiss city of Basel with about 18,000 inhabitants. It borders on the Am Ring district in the north, the St. Alban district in the east, the Bruderholz district and the municipality of Binningen in the south and the Bachletten district in the west.
In contrast to the rest of the city, the almost chessboard-like structure with its parallel streets, based on American models, is striking.
